The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Psalm 19:1
With another glorious and warm winter day before me, I decided that I would go for a drive with my camera in hand and enjoy a relaxing afternoon of picture taking. However, when I stepped outside and saw the passing clouds of a cold front, I knew that I did not have to go anywhere to capture the beauty unfolding on this day. Dramatic clouds, hints of blue sky and peeks of the sun enthralled me as I wandered about the yard snapping pictures.
At times, like a kid, I just laid on my back in the grass looking above me and admiring the changing canvas of the sky. And while lying there, a simple turn of my eyes allowed me to discover a weed that in its simplicity was really quite lovely and with a little imagination looks a bit like a donkey’s head!
The lesson learned today is that beauty is everywhere – you just have to be looking for it – up, down, all around, God’s creation is good… Even the reflection in the RV’s windshield seems to pronounce this simple truth as it awaits its next adventure on the road!
Photography has opened my eyes in a way I never expected. Lovely post!
