The Grand Tetons

Then God said, “Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good.  Genesis 1:9-10

The creation story in chapter one of Genesis is a remarkable read.  To ponder upon the fact that God just had to speak the words to create all that we know of this universe commands awe at His incredible power and majesty.  The mountains have always been the place where I feel this most. These pictures do it very little justice (especially given the fires in the area that shrouded the region with smoke) but I hope you enjoy!

  1. Your pictures are absolutely stunning! Was that a moose? It appears that the trip was worth all the driving up to this point just to see that scenery 🌄. I see you have a sweater on; I hope that means you were fortunate enough to be in an area that wasn’t sweltering. Continued good travels!

    1. Thanks, Sheilah! And, yes, that is a moose! Best I could get as he was more interested in eating than posing for a picture. The weather has cooled off as we have moved into the higher elevations. Was 49 here (outside Yellowstone) this morning! Don’t miss the heat which dogged us last week and now has hit you. Stay cool!
